Lyth Valley Damson Jam
 
4 3/4 lb Lyth Valley Damsons
1 1/2 pints water
6lb sugar
 
Remove all stones from damsons and place in pan with water.
Simmer until fruit is soft.
Add sugar and stir till dissolved.
Bring to boil and continue boiling until setting point of 220F is reached.
Place in warm sterilised jars.
