Terms & Conditions of Trade

Your order will be despatched quickly. Card payers will usually receive their orders before customers who pay by cheque.
 
If paying by cheque, please note that orders will not be despatched until after 7 working days. If you haven't received your order within 14 days you MUST let us know, otherwise you will lose your right to claim.
 
Shortages or damages should be notified to use within 1 working day of receipt of your order. Your full order will be despatched together, unless we notify you regarding low stock. Where possible, please let us have contact telephone number and full postcode to prevent delivery delays.
 
Orders can be posted to us at the address on our contact form, alternatively you can telephone us on 01229 588906 (Mon to Sat 9.00am to 5.00pm).
 
We are open via our website on Sundays for internet orders only, however, the shop and office will be closed.
 
Our minimum order for delivery is £2.95 post and packing charges.
 
Delivery Charges
 
Delivery charges to the UK Mainland are based on Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery charges and Parcel Force standard charges. If you wish to have a parcel posted outside of the UK you will need to provide us with contact details so that we can advice you of the postage chages.
 
Despatch
 
Please note that when goods are signed for at the time of delivery you must check:
 
that you receive the number of parcels that you sign for
that no parcels are damaged or missing
 
Once signed for, there is no comeback if a parcel is found to be missing.
 
Orders will usually be delivered within 5 working days of our receiving your order (except for those paying by cheque), however, in busy periods allow a little longer please, or order early!
 
Please include a telephone number where we can contact you during the day in case of any query. (this will not be passed on to any other company).
 
Carriage charges on goods refused by the customer, will be charged to the customer.
 
Goods returned to us without our consent will be refused. We charge a £5 admin fee for returned goods unless the goods are faulty/defective.
 
All goods remain the property of Cumbrian Way until paid for in full.
 
Customers who place orders fully accept our trading terms.
 
If goods are out of stock we will contact you to discussing sending the nearest substitute or a credit note but will confirm any substitution or credit with you prior to despatch.
 
Due to manufacturing increases we reserve the right to increase prices without prior notice.
 
Further, under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of these items within a period of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the day on which the item is delivered. We can accept returns of complete product, which is unused and in an "as new" condition together with the adminisatration charge for processing your return.
 
To cancel your contract, please pack the relevant item securely, attach your personalised return label and send it to us with the delivery slip so that we receive it within 7 working days after the day of the date that the item was delivered to you.
 
For your protection, where you are returning an item to us, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty.
 
If we do not receive the item back from you, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost. You should be aware that, once we begin the delivery process, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (e.g. gift wrapping).
 
Please also note that you will be responsible for the costs of collection in the event that our courier service collect a large item from you to return to us.
 
As soon as we receive written notice of your cancellation of an order, together with the returned item, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item.

Privacy & Data Protection Statement

Principles
There are eight principles put in place by the Data Protection Act 1998 to make sure that your information is handled properly.

By law data controllers have to keep to these principles. At the Cumbrian Way we ensure we meet all the requirements for data protection and to protect your privacy.
 
We do not share your information with any 3rd party other than for the normal purposes of processing payments (credit and debit card payments) and for the posting of goods where we provide the delivery company with your name and delivery address details.
 
We do not collate any information other than required to fulfil your order.
 
We do not hold your card details, these are deleted from our system immediately after payment is taken.
 
We use very secure servers which are tested on a regular basis to ensure continued security and integrity.
 
We will not pass on your email address or details to any 3rd party for the purposes of marketing, advertising etc.
 
We ask you to confirm your email address when making a purchase or contacting us via our website to ensure that your email address (1) is valid and (2) is not being misused by another party. This also helps us to prevent email spam.
